Carte blanche given to Nathalie Heinich

This interview conducted with Nathalie Heinich, a specialist in Norbert Elias research, gives us the opportunity to consider the research of the German sociologist and his reception in the scientific community. The questions submitted are based both on Heinich’s research and some fundamental books and articles by Norbert Elias. The treatment of sport (as practice and spectacle) is more or less direct and progressive, and does not exclusively take into account the theory of the civilizing process. The reason for this option is that the associated concepts refer to a more global production by Norbert Elias.
