Padel: Passing fad or a discipline that’s here to stay? The institutionalization of a new practice within the French Tennis Federation: A comparative analysis and outlook. Carte blanche to Éric Largeron, Robin Haziza, Alix Collombon, and Benjamin Tison

In response to recent societal trends, the Fédération française de Tennis (FFT) (French Tennis Federation) expanded the range of sports on offer by integrating Padel into the federation in 2014. This booming sport now has more than 70,000 practitioners in France. The objective of this carte blanche is to understand the practice of Padel through the lens of the different actors it involves, both from the point of view of practitioners and decision-makers behind its dissemination. They answer our questions about the integration and development of Padel within the FFT, which has yet to be fully explored.
