Body self-awareness involves bottom-up and top-down processes. However, sensory inputs do not immediately reach the consciousness. The interface between the living body and the lived body is a main concern in Emersiology. This scientific approach explores different levels of body analysis, and combines quantitative and qualitative data. This paper illustrates emersiology practical applications, and focused on an investigation of interoceptive experience of adolescent girls with obesity. We suggest that emersiology investigates different dimensions of the body, then offers a new understanding of the concept of capacitated body.
